COOKIE POLICY

This Cookie Policy briefly explains what cookies are and the different types of cookies that we use on this site. We hope that this document helps you understand, and feel more confident about, our use of cookies. We may change this Cookie Policy at any time.

What is a cookie?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device and help to make web sites work more efficiently. This is because web sites can read from and write to cookies which enables them to do things like remember important information related to you and the web site (e.g. remembering your login details).

There are two main types of cookie as well as a number of sub-categories; the two main types are "persistent" cookies and "session" cookies.

What cookies do we use?

We use cookies when you log in to the site and employ both main types depending on how you chose to log in. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a period of time after you have visited the site if you selected the 'Remember me' option when logging in and they are reactivated the next time you visit (i.e. you don't need to log in again). Session cookies are created when you log in without using the 'Remember me' option but they get deleted from your device when you close your browser window (i.e. you will need to log in next time you visit).

How do I control cookies?

You can change the settings in your internet browser to refuse cookies at any time. You can find information on exactly how to do this in your browser's help menus or by going to http://www.allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies/index.html for information on commonly used browsers. Please note that you will not be able to remain logged in to the site if cookies are disabled.
